The real problem

Every child is creative. Somewhere along the way, it gets quieter.

Three quiet traps slowly pull children away from art, often before they turn ten.

01
01

The Screen Trap

Screens are fast, bright and effortless, so slow, hands-on play starts to feel "boring". Children need a calm activity that's just as absorbing, and painting is exactly that.

02
02

The "I'm Not Good at Art" Label

One comparison or one careless comment, and a child decides they're "not the artistic one". What they need is a teacher who makes them feel capable.

03
03

The Busy-Week Trap

School, homework, tuition, activities. Free time gets squeezed until creativity disappears. Kids don't need more time. They need a happy 20-minute habit.

Ready to give them a creative pause?

The shift

Less screen time. More creating, with a method.

✕ The usual way

Buy supplies. Watch videos. Lose interest. Repeat.

  • ✕Art kits bought, opened once, then forgotten in a cupboard.
  • ✕Random YouTube tutorials that are just more screen time.
  • ✕Crowded classes where your child barely gets attention.
  • ✕Marks and comparisons that make kids feel "not good enough".
  • ✕No routine, so the interest fades in a week.
★ RECOMMENDED★ The PAINT Method

Play → Awaken → Layers → Rhythm → Habit.

  • ✓Permission to play: no marks, no "wrong", just creating.
  • ✓Awaken your eye: see light and colour the way artists do.
  • ✓In simple layers: background, shapes, then details.
  • ✓Natural brush rhythm: slow strokes, slow breath, quiet mind.
  • ✓Turn it into a habit: 20 happy, screen-free minutes, a few times a week.
Learn the method, not more tutorials.

The framework

The PAINT Method — five happy steps to their first painting.

The gentle system Anisha uses so every child, even a complete beginner, finishes a painting they love.

Step 01

PERMISSION TO PLAY

No marks, no "wrong", no comparisons. Children are free to experiment, so they relax and start enjoying it straight away.

Outcome: fear of mistakes disappears, and creativity flows.

Step 02

AWAKEN YOUR EYE

Kids learn to notice light, colour and shapes: where the sky glows, where the shadows fall. A skill that helps far beyond art.

Outcome: sharper observation and better focus.

Hover to see the outcome ↻
Step 03

IN SIMPLE LAYERS

Sky first, then shapes, then a few details. One easy step at a time, so no child ever feels lost.

Outcome: big tasks feel easy, and confidence grows.

Hover to see the outcome ↻

Step 04

NATURAL BRUSH RHYTHM

Slow strokes and gentle breathing help busy little minds settle. This is the calm part parents notice most.

Outcome: a calmer child, and smoother, more confident strokes.

Hover to see the outcome ↻
Step 05

TURN IT INTO A HABIT

Twenty minutes, a few colours and one small painting, a few times a week. A happy, screen-free habit for the whole family.

Outcome: skill, focus and calm grow every single week.

5

Use the method once and your child finishes their first painting. Use it for 20 minutes a few times a week and their skill, focus and calm grow every week.

This is how children stay creative for life. Not with talent. Not with expensive supplies. With a method, and a teacher who believes in them.

Paint with a method, not with luck.

Meet your teacher

Meet Anisha Tharakan. The teacher kids love and parents trust.

Anisha is an Abu Dhabi–based artist, art educator and the founder of Anisha's Art Academy. For [X] years she has taught children and adults in 5 countries, from the US and Canada to the UAE, UK and India.

Parents choose her for one reason: children feel safe, seen and capable in her classes. There's no shouting over a crowded room and no "that's wrong". Every child gets encouragement, simple steps and the joy of finishing something beautiful.

"I grew up in Kerala, where colours were my first language as a child. Today I see the same spark in every child I teach. Children don't need to be talented. They need to feel free to create."

That belief became the PAINT Method: a calm, playful way for children to learn painting that replaces pressure with permission, and screens with something they made with their own hands.

In this free workshop, she'll guide your child personally, stroke by stroke, to their first finished painting.

Anisha A letter from the founder

A note to parents, from me.

I built this workshop because I've watched so many bright, curious children quietly decide they're "just not good at art", often before they turn ten. Not because they lack ability, but because nobody gave them the space, the patience, or a simple method.

What I teach isn't complicated. It's what painters have done for centuries: look carefully, build in layers, let the brush move slowly. I've simply made it calm, playful and easy enough for a child to enjoy in one Saturday.

Give your child 90 minutes. Bring a brush. If at the end they're not proud of what they made, you've lost nothing: it's completely free.

Questions

Everything you might be wondering

01What age is this for?

Children aged [6–14]. Younger children (5+) are welcome with a parent nearby.

02My child has never painted. Is that okay?

Absolutely. It's built for complete beginners. Every step is shown slowly and simply.

03Do I need to sit with my child?

For ages 8 and up, just help them set up. For younger children, a parent nearby helps. Many parents end up painting along!

04Isn't this just more screen time?

Zoom is only the window. Your child's eyes and hands are on the paper, not the screen. It's active, hands-on creating, not passive watching.

05What materials do they need?

A kid-safe watercolour / poster colour set, 2 brushes, A4 paper, water and an old cloth. The full list arrives on WhatsApp after you register.

06Is it safe for children?

Yes. Cameras are optional and only registered families receive the link. Recording policy to be confirmed.

07Is it really free?

Yes. No card, no catch. At the end, Anisha shares details of her regular kids' classes for families who want to continue. Completely optional.

One last question

Another weekend of screens, or their first painting?

One method. Five happy steps. One proud, calm child. This one Saturday shows your child how creative they already are. Save their seat in 30 seconds.
